ACT CISM is a not-for-profit Community Association in Australia that provides information, referrals and support in critical incident stress management and related fields. The Association has a special interest in pre-crisis preparation, including mental health promotion in stress, critical incident stress and trauma.
This is a short online course providing an explanation of stress, its impact and how to manage your stress levels in the workplace
The course includes detailed information about the physiological effects of stress. The course highlights the importance of how stress is perceived and responded to by an individual. The impact of environmental stressors is also discussed with reference to “good” stress and unhealthy stress. Finally, recommendations are offered indicating efficient ways to deal with stress and promote workplace health.

StressRisk is a comprehensive online system for carrying out assessments for workplace stress in accordance with the UK Health & Safety Executive requirements. StressRisks enables managers, HR, or OH professionals to set up stress risk projects for individual workgroups or the whole organisation, encourages individual employees to complete online or hard copy StressRisk questionnaires and provide them with immediate online access to their confidential personal report, produces immediate online group reports available to managers and employees showing the key risk factors, levels of morale and wellbeing, and employees' ideas for improvement, encourages the team to discuss the issues outlined in the group report and identifies local interventions which are then entered onto the system, keeps an audit trail, provides internal benchmarks, records and tracks interventions, and initiates follow-up assessments to monitor progress and shows improvement.
