Safety 2010 is a major world conference bringing together stakeholders in the prevention of unintentional injuries and violence from around the world to debate, discuss and exchange information and experiences.
The key theme of the conference is Safe and Equitable Communities. This theme has been chosen to reflect the disproportionate burden from almost all types of injuries that falls on poorer communities. Such differences are apparent both within countries, between countries and even between global regions.

The biennial European conference has been designed by the European Conference Committee of the International Health Economics Association (iHEA) to rotate among the European countries and falls between iHEA’s related world congresses. The 2010 conference will be hosted by the Finnish Society for Health Economics in Helsinki, Finland.
Together with the world congresses, ECHE2010 offers the principal platform for leading researchers with an interest in health economics. This facilitates sharing of results, policy debate and knowledge exchange and also contributes to the foundation of networks in addition to improving the quality of research on health economics.
