The European Commission is organising an EU-high level conference entitled Together for Mental Health and Well-Being on 13 June 2008 in Brussels.

The event will be hosted by European Commissioner for Health, Ms Andoulla Vassiliou, who is preparing it together with Mr Vladminir Spidla, Euoprean Sommissioner for Employment. Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities. It will bring together represemtatives of the European insitutions, Member States, relevant sectors (such as health, education, workplace, social affaris and civil society) and the research community.

The background of the conference is the increasing awareness of the high relevant of metnal health for the health, wellbeing and quality of life citizens and for leardning productivity and social cohesion in the EU.
