Conference: Looking Out, Looking In: International Perspectives on Mental Health Improvement in Scotland
01/04/2009 - Submitted by: Wynne Richard
The Scottish Development Centre for Mental Health has planned a conference to bring together some key examples of mental health improvement work in Europe, and at home.
This is a golden opportunity to see, hear, and ask questions about projects and developments that can really assist with the development of mental health improvement work at all levels.
Objectives
- To facilitate the exchange of practice and process examples within Scotland, and further afield.
- To profile European policy and practice developments in order to assist Scottish stakeholders to make the case for mental health and wellbeing to local and national decision makers, and to meet targets.
- To discuss conditions for enabling effective transfer of policy and practice between countries and consider how Scottish organisations can extend current involvement in European activities.
There will be two sets of breakout workshops, with opportunities to discuss examples of work from Scotland and Europe.
