Nordic Tour 2011: Mental Health and Work - Can we Improve Return to Work and Retention for Employees with Mental Health Problems?
01/07/2011 - Submitted by: Hohenstein Rena
In 2009 NIVA introduced a new concept; a series of one-day thematic lecture seminars, that rotates in all the Nordic countries. The aim is to give national actors in each of the Nordic countries a possibility to compare their own country's position and strategies with the similar practices and perspectives from the other Nordic countries. Each of the seminars acts as an independent entity. Each of the 5 1-day seminar in each of the Nordic countries will:
- Update the current knowledge about antecedents and consequences of mental health in the labour market,
- Give recommendations on interventions with the purpose of improving the return to work among employees with mental health problems and
- Introduce country situations and strategies, as well as best practices of return to work.
The aim is to share experiences and to improve the Nordic collaboration and networking in Return to Work matters.
